Education in Australia
Education is one of 17 divisions that comprise the Australian economy. This division primarily offers education services from preschool through to postgraduate and vocational courses. Consumers are the key users of educational services, and choose between private and public providers. A smaller share of educational services is consumed by the export markets (i.e. international students). Firms which primarily undertake scientific research, provide childcare services, sport training or student accommodation are excluded from this division. ANZSIC definition: This Division includes all units mainly engaged in providing education.
