Driven to help make change, you will help scale growth and awareness of sustainable advances, products and services in the built world, by booking sponsorships for events in your region and advertising on our publications, The Fifth Estate and sister magazine The Green List. Sustainability has been identified as a mega trend globally as industry takes responsibility for their products and services.

The role and opportunity

This is a commission based role with a high paying monthly incentive. We are looking for ambitious sales consultants who are self-starters in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane who enjoy building long term relationships and measuring growth in sustainability. Your role and career trajectory will encompass being exposed to different areas of the built environment, with a key focus on account management of our B2B, government and industry channels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Account management of sponsorship, advertising and events with sustainable businesses, organisations and influencers
  • Ability to work remotely, supporting client queries and needs
  • Research of potential clients in the built environment and organisations that support this area of sustainability
  • Working with head office to create and fulfil orders in a timely manner
  • Tailor orders and packages for our clients across your region and sales channels
  • With support create highly accurate forecasting models
  • Planning of event and advertising schedules
  • Work alongside the Editor and Business Development Manager to make sure client targets and deadlines are met
  • Ensure all contracts and documents are prepared accurately for clients
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM
  • Attend weekly Zoom meetings with the Business Development Manager and other Sales Consultants
  • Other administrative tasks and duties

We are looking for

  • Energetic sales consultants who like being their own boss and making their own schedules. Who thrive in a fast-paced industries that require multi-tasking, prioritisation and minimal oversight
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Clear, professional and friendly communication skills
  • Interested in sustainability
  • 4+ years of account management and experience
  • Ideally experience in advertising sales, however, not required
  • Advanced competency in Excel and Google Sheets and Docs
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to drive necessary change
  • Must have own mobile, laptop, transport and drivers license
